Tessie, Thomas and Ritmo Gitano – Khamoro Kicks Off Tonight with a Party at Výstaviště!

Tereza “Tessie” Ondičová is one of the most sought-after Roma singers in the Czech music scene. Raised in a family of musicians, she first stepped on stage at the age of thirteen. But it was about six years ago that she really rose to fame, dazzling audiences in the television singing competition The Voice. Ever since 2021, Tessie has been pursuing a solo career. Her songs like “But Barvali” and “Dukhal dukhal” are a must-have at any proper Roma celebration.

And no celebration would be complete without some traditional Roma sounds. At the Khamoro Party, that’s where the band Ritmo Gitano comes in! Gipsy rumba, flamenco, salsa, and classic Roma čardáš dances – this seven-piece Czech group blends all of these styles into their original music. Even though they’ve only been playing together for two years, they’ve already had a big impact.
