The second day of the World Roma festival Khamoro will start with the commemoration of the legendary violinist Jožka Fečo.
His relatives and friends, among whom is for instanc Jožka Fečo cimbalom band, Erika Fečová with her band, Ludmila Fečová Trio, Olga Fečová children's choir Čhavorikani Luma and the Bagárs, Connection and Romano Romnija bandse will be recalling their moments with him. During the concert, also songs composed by Jožka Fečo will be performed.
The popular concerts of gypsy jazz are starting as well! Today, you can be looking forward to the Israeli band Swing de Gitanes. Their repertoire offers a unique musical experience stemming from the colorful passions of Romani music, the melodious quality of French music of the 1920s to 1940s, and the American swing. Even though – just like all gypsy jazz musicians – they draw inspiration from the legacy of the legendary Django Reinhardt – the Swing de Gitanes musicians are bent on searching for new forms of this musical style
