Are you part of the next generation of Roma artistic organizers? Do you want to broaden your programming skills and be inspired by experienced leaders in the field? Do you want to join a unique training course for Roma youth organizers?
NGO Slovo 21 is looking for participants for an international training “Khamoro shares experience”, which will take place within the 17th edition of World Roma Festival Khamoro. Training will be held from May 23rd – May 31st 2015 in Prague, Czech Republic.
WHY TO APPLY? Main aim of this training is to encourage creativity and develop organizational skills of young Roma towards the implementation of cultural projects. There are many talented and educated Roma artists, but few who have studied (cultural) management or who have had the opportunity of becoming a part of a production team which implements professional program. Based on previous experience we found out the most effective way is to involve young people - who already have some experience - directly into the production of large festival like Khamoro. In addition to the practicalities - the workshops will have a theoretical part (how to define program, how to make dramaturgy, selection of artists, technical support, team composition, PR and media coverage, fundraising ...).
WHO CAN APPLY?
• Young Roma people who are involved in art and cultural activities • Age of participants 20 – 30 years • Efficient level of English • People from EU and Non EU countries (but not overseas) are eligible for the training
